Bio Suisse is the largest umbrella organization for the development of organic production in Switzerland.

The requirements for organic production according to the private standard of Bio Suisse are stricter than the requirements of the EU Organic Regulation.

Certification according to this private standards is voluntary and carried out in cooperation with the Bio Suisse organization.

Organic Standard is a recognized certification body for conducting inspections according to the requirements of this standard, approved by the Swiss authority ICB AG, but the final decision is made by Bio Suisse experts.
